How can you help us fundraise?
Have fun, raise money and help make a difference! By becoming a Community Investor or organising a fundraising event you are supporting communities and helping people build a brighter future for themselves.
Fundraising for CUFA is a great way to show your support for our work around the Asia-Pacific and to have fun and meet new people. In fact, it’s the most powerful way you can help us to support people to lift themselves out of poverty.
Last year thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts of our supporters we were able to deliver financial literacy lessons to 12,833 children in Cambodia, help grow more than 320 small businesses in Cambodia and Timor-Leste and provide technical assistance to credit unions in 8 Pacific countries.
MAD Day 2017
MAD Day is shorthand for MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY! The day is all about celebrating the mutual movement and supporting CUFA’s Children’s Financial Literacy program in Cambodia. Make a real difference to the lives of people living in poverty this MAD Day.
When: October 2017
MAD Day is run in conjunction with Anti-Poverty Week, an event held annually and nationwide with the goal of highlighting and overcoming issues related to poverty which affect people both here in Australia and internationally.
By taking part in MAD Day you will be participating in a nationwide movement that includes companies across Australia.
Cycle Cambodia Challenges
Our overseas adventure holiday challenges are a great way to explore the world, meet new people, and have the experience of a lifetime, all while engaging in vital development work that is making long-lasting and real change to the lives of others.
If Cycling Cambodia sounds like your style of adventure, find out more on our Adventure Challenges page.
By supporting one of our Challengers you will be directly helping us deliver our vital programs across the Asia Pacific. 100% of our funds go towards supporting CUFA’s projects in the Asia Pacific. We’ve already helped more than four million people across 14 countries lift themselves out of poverty.
What is Workplace Giving?
Workplace Giving gives employees the ability to make small regular tax-deductible donations to a charity by using the payroll systems in place. Some workplaces may also ‘match’ employee contributions to encourage greater workplace giving and therefore having a greater collective impact.
Workplace Giving creates a positive working environment for the employee and is a great way for a small charity organisation like CUFA to continue to create wide-reaching change across the Asia-Pacific whilst keeping overheads to a minimum.
Why give to CUFA?
Workplace giving is a win-win-win for workers, employers and for CUFA. No matter how small the amount, employees can experience the significant impact over time their contribution is making and employers can enjoy greater staff engagement and retention. CUFA is able to gain reliable, regular funds leading to even greater sustainability and efficiency.
Find out how your business could participate in Workplace Giving by emailing: email@example.com or call us on 1300 490 467
If you prefer using Good2Give to organize your workplace giving, CUFA partners with Good2Give, so you may find us there, too.
Harry Zaphir Scholarship
The Harry Zaphir Scholarship, sponsored by The System Works Group (TSWG), is awarded to an emerging leader of the Mutual movement to travel to Cambodia to support CUFA’s projects.
This year the scholarship has been awarded to Julie Scharf from ECU. Julie will travel to Cambodia to undertake volunteer work on CUFA projects. Thank you to TSWG their sponsorship and support of the Scholarship.
