New Year, new adventure

Will 2015 be the year you challenge yourself to make a difference?

The New Year is a time for new goals and new beginnings. It’s a time for New Year’s resolutions and planning for the future. We aspire to travel more, exercise more, give more, and be more.

As we move into 2015, many of us are looking to challenge ourselves for the better. We’re looking to improve ourselves, to give back to those less fortunate and to unleash our adventurous spirit.

For Vicki Hunter, CUFA’s Cambodia Leadership Challenge was all of these things rolled into one. Cycling across Cambodia, Vicki’s adventure took her across the country-side, seeing first-hand the difference CUFA’s projects are making.

“My experience was amazing! The trip made me more aware of the fantastic work being done overseas to assist developing countries…I learnt that if I set my mind to something I can do it.”

Vicki insists she was challenged and rewarded by the experience and was inspired to continue helping the many people she met along the way.

“The cycling was hard but I pushed myself more than I ever thought I could… I learnt a lot about myself, as a person and as a leader in my workplace… I want to do so much more to help these beautiful people.”

If you’re looking to challenge yourself this new year, our Cycle Cambodia and Kayak Fiji Leadership Challenges are a great way to tick off more than one New Year’s resolution. You’ll also be helping to create tangible and sustainable change for those living in poverty across the Asia-Pacific region.
